have lived my whole life in Merritt. I join with others in supporting the work of the Electoral Boundaries Commission. I agree with the changes made to Fraser-Nicola.

Hope does not fit in with Chilliwack, as the latter is a much larger city and drowns out the voices of people who live in the Fraser Canyon. Hope used to be a part of Fraser-Nicola when it was known as Yale-Lillooet before 2009. I support your proposal to put Hope back in with Fraser-Nicola where it belongs. Hope is very similar to the small towns like Lillooet, Lytton, Merritt and others in the interior of BC. We share a common resource and tourism-based economy and a small-town way of life. Chilliwack is a larger urban centre that is growing very fast, while these small towns in Rural BC are witnessing population decline. I also support your initiative to put Princeton into the Boundary-Similkameen constituency that also contains small towns like Fraser-Nicola.
