Thank you for all the hard work on what I know has to be an extremely challenging task. I am writing in regard to the proposed Surrey-Cloverdale and Surrey-South districts. Like many other Surrey residents who have written with their concern regarding Fleetwood, I also feel Fleetwood should remain in the same district, not be split in two. Numerous others have provided rational for this, so no need for me to add my comments. However, there hasn't been a lot of feedback on splitting off the eastern part of Cloverdale and Clayton and adding them to the Surrey South district. I would like to speak to that. The concerns of the Cloverdale/Clayton residents relate to challenges with density and rapid growth of the overall area. Those concerns don't stop at 188th Street. Further, having spent 25 plus years living in South Surrey and White Rock and having moved to the Cloverdale/Clayton area two years ago, I can confidently assert that the demographics of the two areas are very different. I recognize the challenges in trying to manage the voter population of the Surrey districts, but I do feel that Fleetwood should stay intact as should the Cloverdale/Clayton communities. I hope something can be done. Thank you again for your work on the boundaries.
