As a 30 year resident of Surrey, I am really frustrated to read an online article written by Laila Yuile. This article points out that:
“Submissions raise eyebrows at Electoral Boundaries Commission public hearing in Surrey with ‘Gracie’s Finger’ references opposition to changes in key Liberal ridings.”
This article includes a long list of politicians and supports who made presentations to the Commission at Surrey hearing demanding to change boundaries for their political gains.
Therefore, I urge the commission to keep the politics out of this process. The Commission has always done what is best for the people with one exception - Gracie’s Finger. I am confident that at the end of the day you will do what is best for British Columbians.
Thanks for your consideration
