The Electoral Boundaries in our region has traditionally included Merritt. While economically our trade traffic flows more directly into the South Okanagan (Penticton) area, we have much closer traditional ties with the Nicola Region. In addition to our shared School District (named Nicola-Similkameen, I might add) and the Merritt Forest District, trucking traffic (logging) use the route that runs directly north from Princeton to the Nicola. There are historic family connections between the Merritt and Princeton area and the topography, geography and income sources are virtually the same as opposed to Princeton versus the Boundary-Similkameen. I urge you to reconsider any notion of removing Princeton from an Electoral District that does not include Merritt. Thank you.
