    Colin Hansen, Vancouver

It is my understanding that the Western boundary of Vancouver-Quilchena was defined as the boundary of Pacific Spirit Park.

On March 11, 2008, the boundary of the park changed with the Reconciliation, Settlement and Benefits Agreement came into effect between the Province and the Musqueam.

This provided for the transfer of title to Block K to the Musqueam. This is a triangle of land in the south-west corner of Vancouver-Quilchena, south of Marine Drive that is currently in Vancouver-Point Grey.

It is conceivable that the Musqueam could develop this triangle into residential lots in the next few years and it would be unfortunate if the new residents had to travel to a Vancouver-Point Grey voting station to cast their vote.

The new boundary of Vancouver-Quilchena west of Kullahun Drive should follow the centre line of South West Marine Drive.

    Respectfully submitted,

    - Colin Hansen
    former Vancouver-Quilchena MLA
