Dear Boundary Commissionaires, we live on the border of two electoral districts. The electoral boundary line historically was established many years ago geographically by the St Mary's River. All those residents North of the river have as their MLA, Mr. McDonald of Golden BC and those South of the St Mary's river in the Cranbrook area, Mr. Bennett.
Due to recent (within the past 10 years) changes by Canada Post of our mailing addresses within the RDEK, we now have a Cranbrook mailing address;we are located closer to Cranbrook then Kimberley and are within sight of the Cranbrook airport. Therefore, it would make great sense to include us in the Cranbrook electoral district. Our daily lives and interactions are associated and affected by Mr Bennett's riding and the city of Cranbrook as opposed to towns and surrounding areas to our north. We are more affected by Provincial decisions made as they pertain to the Cranbrook area, roads, airport etc.
Please consider recommending in your report that possibly all those residents possessing a Cranbrook mailing address, and especially located north of the St Mary's river be moved into the Cranbrook/Fernie/Sparwood electoral district. Thanking you in advance, Sincerely, Roger and Sharon Mitchell
