    Electoral boundaries...
We found that a lot of confusion was caused by the division of North Cowichan into two separate ED’s (Nanaimo North Cowichan and Cowichan Valley). Further complicating this is the fact that many North Cowichan residents use “Duncan” as their address (as opposed to North Cowichan). This meant that individuals who listed their address as Duncan were then cross referenced to North Cowichan and many of these individuals (voting out of their ED) were provided the wrong (Nanaimo/North Cowichan as opposed to Cowichan Valley) list of candidates.

This may have been caught if the voters knew who they wanted to vote for and noted the name was not on the candidate list... except both ED’s had a Routley running for the same party.

    Just my two cents worth!
