(I heard of this opportunity in personal conversation, a local facebook page, newspaper and a radio ad).
I am a voter in the Kamloops/North Thompson provincial riding. I urge the Electoral Boundaries Commission to MAINTAIN the current boundaries. The city of Kamloops is our major urban centre. Residents of the North Thompson Valley regularly travel Highway 5, the natural north/south corridor, for business, medical referrals, entertainment, airport access, and other reasons.
I have heard speculation that our community might be included in the Cariboo riding which is west of us. I believe such a move would be detrimental to our representaion and to the electoral process.
Therefore, I urge the Commission to maintain our current boundaries.
