I went to the open house today in Revelstoke thinking there would be some one there from 10:00- 12:30. Unfortunately arriving at 11:30 to find out everyone had left. Having run in the provincial election in 2009, the riding because of its size is extremely difficult to service. The highway conditions can be terrible, you have a time zone change. I once booked a noon meeting in Kimberly and had to leave my house at 6:00 to give enough time to make it. I think Revelatoke would be better served if we were moved into the Shuswap riding. This community does all of its shopping, specialist and hospital visits in either Salmon Arm, Vernon, Kelowna, or Kamloops. You never hear of people heading east for any kind of appointments. I found the Columbia Valley is more centered around Alberta than Vancouver. Looking at this from the point of an MLA serving his constituents, we would all be better served if Revelstoke changed ridings. But having said that please do not consider including Nakusp in the Columbia River Revelstoke riding as we are 11/2 hours on a good day from Nakusp and this addition will only make the riding even more difficult to service. Thanks for the opportunity for input
