The riding of Columbia River Revelstoke by its very name implies that Revelstoke though on the Columbia river is separate and distinct. From a social and economic perspective Revelstoke has much closer ties with the communities to the West. There isn't any social economic linkage between Revelstoke and Kimberly. While Golden is 1.5 hrs away, Salmon Arm a much larger community is only 1 hr away. Revelstoke should be on the eastern edge of a revised riding that has a much stronger social economic relationship.
