my civic address is (addres removed) Knutsford which places me in the Yale Merritt electoral district. However, our roads connect us to Kamloops, our school buses take our children to Kamloops, we work in Kamloops, shop in Kamloops. Indeed on the last two elections, during which our district was changed to the current status, our politicians did not campaign in our area at all. No signage, phone calls, nor opportunities to meet our potential candidates were provided, suggesting our neighbourhood was not considered by the politicians to be part of Yale/Merritt either. Imagine our surprise on reciept of our voting card and on election day when we had no idea of who we could vote for, and had to travel miles out of our way to reach our "local" voting site? Boundaries need to be logical and should be based on where residents live and work, and the community with which they are aligned, not just on a civic address to achieve number requirements for electoral districts.
