    Victor Mitchell, Dogwood Valley-Hope
    2014-11-16

I am Victor Mitchell and live in Dogwood Valley, only ten minutes north of Hope. I have lived here for 15 years working at Hope Towing. As a Fraser Canyon resident, I feel Hope has much more in common with the Canyon communities from Hope to Cache Creek, east to Princeton and including Merritt.

As the Coquihalla Highway has changed the traffic patterns, schools and hospitals closed and mills closed, causing an outflow of our population. The Fraser Canyon and the Nicola regions all feel this outflow and it is one commonality we all share. Chilliwack is a growing, thriving community and holds nothing in common with our community of Hope

As we see ourselves with more in common with Fraser Canyon and Nicola, please consider returning Hope to Fraser-Nicola where it truly belongs.

Thank you for your considerations in this matter,

    Sincerely,
    Victor Mitchell
