I attended the Victoria public meeting. I live in the Ten Mile Point neighbourhood of Saanich which currently is within the Oak Bay/Gordon Head riding. I feel our issues are more common with Saanich than with Oak Bay and suggest that a Saanich riding be created along the Saanich boundary to the South and East and allowing Oak Bay to be extended south to include Fairfield etc. I recognize a domino effect is created once our riding would be more appropriately configured but I think this is an opportunity to better align common neighbourhoods/communities. Our issues, interests and activities are more common with the rest of Saanich. .
