Question: do all these electoral boundaries commission that come out of Ottawa and Victoria talk to each other? I sure hope not because I really didn’t like Cloverdale being put in with Langley. I believe our representatives are most useful when they are focused on one community, one city hall, one board of trade (or chamber of commerce if you’re in Cloverdale or South Surrey-White Rock). I want to know my MLA has 100% of his or her attention on my needs and the needs of my neighbours. I just don’t think that will happen in a split riding. Surrey and Langley are just too different now. Surrey is a metropolitan area that requires its representatives to be from within the City boundaries.
