    Ron Sanders, Merritt

I have lived in Merritt most of my life and am very concerned that there is a consideration to include Hope in our electoral district again. We have been though that before and it did not work last time.

With my work I frequently work in other areas and am currently working in the Hope, Yale, Harrison Lake areas on the ILM project and have been for the past 2 1/2 years.
My experience is that we have nothing in common with those areas. The first nations groups are different, the forest industry, cattle business, and tourisium, and mining businesses are all totally different from our main industries in the interior.

From an MLA's work load perspective having to deal with such a different set of issues that have nothing in common with ours I think would be very counterproductive.

They shop in Chillawack- we shop in Kamloops
Our cows are one colour- theirs have spots
Our trees small pine - they have large cedars
We get sunshine and snow -they get rain and more rain.

And the list could go on and on,

Thanks for the oppourtunity to put forward an opinion.

    Ron Sanders
