While I realize this exercise is mandated by law, I urge the commissioners not to increase the number of electoral areas in British Columbia. We do not need more representatives in this province, we need a new voting system that will better represent the diversity of political interest in this great province.
I believe that fairer distribution of eligible votes within existing electoral areas can be achieved without adding anymore members and the attendant costs to our provincial budget.
